The Grantsburg Pirates were handed a forfeit win on Friday. Oct. 1, supposed to play Lake Holcombe/Cornell, but instead they traveled to Marathon, where they had a solid night against the home squad, where they won, 40-0.

“Gage Hall did a great job on the offensive line for us and Aidan Burkman had a big night on the ground with 172 yard,” Pirate head coach Adam Hale said. “Aaron Burkman had a nice all-around game, leading us in tackles as well as recovering a fumble and getting an interception.”

Game stats were not available at press time. 

The Pirates are at home this Friday for a Homecoming match against Rib Lake/Prentice.
