Bryan Irving Mintz, age 66 of Phoenix, AZ - formerly of Minn., and WI, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 11, 2021.
Preceded in death by his father Albert Mintz.
Survived by his mother Rose Mintz; brothers Douglas (Lynette) Mintz and Bradley Mintz; sister Hannah (Douglas) Huberty; nieces Courtney (Justin) Wallander and Melanie Huberty; nephew Alex King; great niece Madison Wallander; aunt Marge Volk; and many loving cousins and friends.
Bryan was born in St. Paul, Minn. Bryan was an exceptionally talented violinist, performing at special events all over the Twin Cities for 50 years. He was a featured performer for six years at Murray’s Steakhouse. He also relished sharing the talents of his many colleagues with the entire Mintz clan over the years at all kinds of family celebrations. Bryan owned several businesses over his short lifetime including Big Al’s Liquidation, in Webster. He was also a successful independent collections agent.
Bryan had the gift of listening, empathizing, and helping people, whether they were clients, family, or close friends. Although Bryan had no children, he was a loving parent to many pets; his birds Sam and Caesar, his last two dogs Brandy and Beauty, and of course his famous monkey, Rudy. Bryan was incredibly personable and had a true passion for life. He was a self-made and self-driven man. And very much like his father Albert (though with a slightly different flair), Bryan too, marched to the beat of his own drum.
Funeral service was held at Hodroff-Epstein in St. Paul, Minn., on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.
