Webster’s new welcome

The Village of Webster has new welcome signs! The Webster Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded a $1,200 grant from Polk-Burnett’s Operation Round Up for the sign project. Pictured (L-R): Bill Summer, Webster Chamber president and village board member, accepted the grant from Joan O’Fallon, Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative, and Ed Peterson, Operation Round Up board president. Welcome signs were designed and installed by Jeremy McCune, Northland Signs of Grantsburg, and are placed on Highway 35 for traffic coming into the village from the north and the south. Funding for Operation Round Up is provided by the generosity of Polk-Burnett members who round up their electric bills. Grants are awarded quarterly to nonprofit organizations that improve our local quality of life.
