The Burnett County Board of Supervisors and Sheriff Tracy Finch recognized two local law enforcement officers for their courage, heads-up thinking and bravery in response to a recent structure fire, as the two officers were recipients of Life Saving Awards for their actions in response to the fire at a law office last month, north of Siren.
Officer Tanner Pardun of the Siren Police Department and Burnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Mason Krueger went before the full County Bord last Thursday, May 18, as Sheriff Finch gave Lifesaving Awards to the duo, while also noting their efforts before the Burnett County Board of Supervisors.
Sheriff Finch presented the awards to the Pardun and Krueger, noting the events of the day, April 4, and how they were able to not only clear the burning building, but alert firefighters and others to make sure the response was quick.
“Their acts of bravery at a structure fire likely saved three lives,” Finch stated, as she presented the duo with their Life Saving Awards, which led to a standing ovation by the board of supervisors.
