County Board officially honors local law officers

Burnett County Administrator Nate Ehalt shared a document outlining the various goals of the standing county committees.  The goals came from the June 23 board retreat, and included input from the Administration, Natural Resources, Land Use, Publlc Safety, Health and Community Services and Infrastructure committees.

The Burnett County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to honor local law enforcement and emergency workers last week, in part due to recent actions across the nation where some people have vilified members of law enforcement and other federal agencies.

The Aug. 18 Public Safety Appreciation Day was unanimously approved, and included several comments in support of the local cadre of law officers, jailers, dispatchers, emergency responders and others who work to protect and serve.
