Two Siren Alumni got to compete against each other for the first time since high school at the Yellowjacket Open on Saturday, Feb. 15 in Superior. Tanner Lee is competing in his second season for the University of Wisconsin - Yellowjackets. He competed in the men's weight throw and shot put. Lee finished in the top 10 in the weight throw with a toss of 13.05 meters.

Both Lee and Sophomore Noah Koball (Michigan Tech University Track and Field) went head to head in the shot put, both making finals. Lee got squeaked out of the top 10 by .32 meters with a toss of 11.20 m. Koball's throw of 12,74 was enough to pull off a 5th place finish. Both athletes had a big support crew of family and friends to see them compete.

The two will likely meet up against each other this spring at the St. John's Invitational on March 28th in Collegeville Minnesota. Check out the Yellowjacket and Huskie websites to catch their progress as they move out of the indoor season, and into the outdoor season.
