The Tigers boys team has won seven straight games.
On Friday the Tigers will play Grantsburg. The teams are one and two in the conference. Head Coach Chad Stenberg said he hopes his team is ready.
“The Grantsburg game will be a tall task, they have a very good team and have been getting stronger every game, so we will need to play our best that night,” Stenberg said. “Hopefully the guys are up for the challenge.”
Grantsburg was the most recent loss for the Tigers on Dec. 11.
Last week, the Tigers won a pair of not so pretty wins. However, that is part of the motivation for the team.
Stenberg said the keys to beating Siren and Unity last week were, “Play defense, rebound and stay in the game possible have a chance to win at the end.”
He said his team was just bigger inside and that made all the difference in the 39-32 victory.
“Tristen Benjamin played outstanding on offense and defense and Owen Washburn played hard and physical against Siren,” Stenberg said. “The Unity game was total team effort I believe four guys had double digit points. Chase Cadott had a big night scoring 12 points, I was really proud of him.”
Stenberg added the teams guard play has also improved over the season.
“Our guard play has been good also, both defensively and offensively both games. Carsen, Mason, Austin and Nolan have worked hard and each came up with timely baskets in both games.”
