Grantsburg Co-op Gymnasts competed in the River Falls Invitational on Saturday January 9.  It was not your normal invite with teams coming from all over Wisconsin and Minnesota, there was no March-in or festive activities as the Winter Wonderland March-in contest.  It was a meet that everyone was excited to be able to compete.  Grantsburg was not able to fill the line up with just four gymnasts competing. We were short on a couple scores, had no back up so every score mattered. The pace was extremely fast with the meet divided into sections, it was a quick warm-up, then compete, then on to the next event.

The meet went smooth, the gymnasts did a nice job.  Mya Benson scored a personal best on vault with a 7.40.  Senior Amy Harmon was the only gymnast with a stick beam routine scoring a 7.225 and scored a personal best in the All-Around with a 29.775.  Kyhlie Young-Garayt was our top performer scoring a 31.025 in the All-Around and performed a personal best on the uneven bars with a 7.425.

Our next meet is the February 11 home meet with Rice Lake and travel to North Brach on February 16.
