Dragons suffer tough loss at Unity

BALSAM LAKE—The young Dragons squad took it on the chin again as they lost to a strong Unity Eagle team by a 10-0 score last Thursday.

Siren got on base twice in the first inning on a walk and a double later by Lukas Hunter. Hunter was left stranded at second.

Brett Mangen got on base in the third inning after being hit by a pitch. Jordan Webster singled, but both were stranded on base by two strike outs.

Chance Lessard walked in the fourth inning and got as far as third, but was there when the inning ended.

Webster singled in the fifth inning with two out, but got no further.

Webster started on the mound for Siren and went 3.2 innings, giving up six hits and eight runs, walking three and striking out five.

Lessard finished up, allowed two runs on one hit, walking two.

After hosting Birchwood on Monday (last minue change of venue), the Dragons prepare for the playoffs and go to Solon Springs on Thursday in first round action.
