The Board of Trustees for the Village of Grantsburg met on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 6:00 pm remotely via zoom.

Present: President Longhenry, Trustee Barton, Trustee Peer, Trustee Stone, Trustee Sturdevant, Trustee Janke

Absent: Trustee Muehlberg.

Others: Police Chief Dan Wald, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Allison Longhenry, Jonathan Richie-Burnett County Sentinel.

President Longhenry called the Special Village Board meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

President Longhenry explained he had called this Special Board meeting due to the rapidly increasing cases of COVID-19 throughout Burnett County. The Burnett County Government Center has closed to the public and are seeing people by appointment only until January 11, 2021.

Motion by Trustee Peer, second by Trustee Barton to approve Resolution #20-7 Emergency Declaration. Motion carried. Trustee Stone opposed.

Trustee Janke joined the meeting at 6:20 p.m.

Motion by Trustee Peer, second by Trustee Barton to close the Village Office and Police Office to the public, seeing individuals by appointment only, to January 11, 2021 when it will be revisited at the Village Board meeting. Motion carried. Trustee Stone opposed.

Motion by Trustee Stone, second by Trustee Barton to adjourn the Special Village Board meeting at 6:30 p.m.
