Minutes from November 9, 2020
President Dave Dahlberg called the meeting to order. Present: Dave Dahlberg, Dan Ohnstad, Renae Rombach, Chris Erickson, Russ Erickson, and Brian Handy. Absent: Jason Burkman.
Agenda Revisions: Removed Consent Item #4 as there will not be consideration on this position at this time.
Motion C. Erickson/Ohnstad to allow Board Clerk, Renae Rombach to attend remotely with full meeting privileges. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion R. Erickson/Handy to approve the School Board minutes from October 26, 2020 as presented. Motion carried 6-0. Annual Meeting minutes will come before the Board to be approved at the next Annual Meeting scheduled for October 25, 2021.
• Good News in Our Schools Report. November’s issue and highlights were shared by the Principals.
• WASB State Convention Update. Two Board members expressed interest in attending the virtual convention this year.
• Reviewed dates of upcoming committee meetings and Strategic Planning meeting. Agendas will be posted prior to each meeting.
Motion Rombach/Ohnstad to award the bid for the reinvestment account that includes the $2,000,000 loan for cash flow borrowing and various types of State aid which we receive throughout the year to American Deposit Management (ADM). Motion carried 6-0.
Motion C. Erickson/Rombach to award the bid for a new high jump system to Richey in the amount of $6,480. Motion carried 6-0.
Motion C. Erickson/Handy to approve Tara Linssen, iForward Elementary School Teacher, full-time. Motion carried 6-0.
Fiscal Report/Receipts Report: October 2020. Motion C. Erickson/Rombach to approve the November 2020 vouchers for payment. Specific check numbers are: #20576 - #20580, #80372 - #80555. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion Rombach/R. Erickson to convene in Closed Session under Wis. Stats. § 19.85(1) (f) for “considering financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations and Wis. Stats. § 19.85(1) (c) for considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility”. Motion carried 6-0.
Motion Ohnstad/Rombach to reconvene in open session and take action as appropriate on matters from the Closed Session. Motion carried 6-0.
Motion C. Erickson/Rombach to adjourn. Motion carried 6-0.
