Let it be known that Steven L Walsh (Steve) of Danbury sunk his last putt, took off his hero robe and is now resting in the arms of his Lord on 11/11/2020.
Steve was born in Hopkins, Minn., and spent many years in the Chippewa Falls area, finally moving to the Siren and Danbury area. He graduated from St. Cloud University College with a Double Master of Sciences Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling and Family Counseling. Afterward he began his own business as a Qualified Rehabilitation Counselor. After 20 years of successful service he knew it was time to begin his love of rehabilitating and restoring houses which he continued to do until cancer kept him from continuing.
Steve was always kind, sincere and loved to make people smile. He spent much time at his favorite local Hardware Stores not only for his own purchases but to help anyone there that needed help finding (or fixing) things, and he gave instructions too. He loved to travel and have adventures, even if it was just a weekend trip, as he was a great tour guide. North Shore of MN was his favorite spot and of course, his passion since childhood was Golf.
Steve’s wit, humor, honesty and smile will be greatly missed.
Per Steve’s request, all monetary donations will be sent to his “Home-away-from-Home”, Restoring Hope Transplant House in Middleton, Wisconsin. Steve spent many months there over the past three plus years as he underwent two Bone (stem) Cell Transplants and many cancer treatments.
Condolences and donations may be sent to Steve Walsh C/O Julie at PO Box 23, Webster, WI 54893.
