The Siren FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) team met Kat Perkins, who was a finalist on Season 6 of the Voice. She was the speaker at the Opening Session.

The Siren FCCLA students competed at the State Leadership Conference in Wisconsin Dells from April 7-10. At the Conference, students competed in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events, which are events that are based on the Family and Consumer Education Program. Siren had seven students who competed at the Conference this year and took home 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals overall. Congratulations to Kanaan Christianson, Jordan Webster, Trevor Stanford, Rylee O’Brien, Grace Schultz and Macy Tollander who are all national qualifiers! Six participants is the most the Siren FCCLA Chapter has ever had competing at the National Conference! They will be competing at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. this June-July.

The FCCLA participants will have their projects on display at their 3rd Annual Designer Purse Bingo Sunday, May 5, 2019, for anyone interested in seeing their projects up close.
