Visitors to the Taste of Siren enjoy the festivities and fun with tasty samplings as well as games and raffles.

SIREN—The Taste of Siren will be held on May 11 as the Siren Chamber and The Salvation Army partner to sponsor this annual event.

The 2019 Taste of Siren will be held from 5-8 p.m. at Northwoods Crossing Event Center. Siren area food and beverage tasting, raffles, games, a ‘passport,’ and wine pull are all planned as fundraisers for the Siren Chamber of Commerce and their non-profit partner, The Salvation Army. Select wine varietals have been chosen for the evening’s tastings along with featured Brickfield Brewing beers plus coffees and tea from the Chattering Squirrel Coffee Cafe.

The Siren Chamber of Commerce is excited to have The Salvation Army and the Faith House Shelter as their non-profit partner in 2019.

Faith House is more than just a homeless shelter. For many of you who do not know, Faith House is a program. Residents who stay at the shelter are required to make certain progressive steps toward independence in order to stay in the program. Residents are paired with Faith House’s Case Manager who works directly with them to get medical attention, find employment and learn valuable living skills so the individuals or families staying at the shelter can leave on a positive path toward independence. Faith House has a proven success record of getting people back on their feet and independent in an average of less than 90 days.

Faith House is The Salvation Army Extension Office for Burnett County. That means, those needing assistance for things like rent, utilities or other emergency situations can come to Faith House for help.

There are several ways to support The Salvation Army and Faith House Shelter and their mission: monetary donation, in-kind gifts, volunteer, and/or purchase a memorial. A tax receipt is available for all donations.

Taste of Siren tickets may be purchased online via the VisitSiren.com, and the Siren Village Hall - as well as at the door. Price is $20 per person or two for $35. Advance purchase enters you in the Siren Chamber Grand Drawing.
