After needing to cancel the event last year, the students are happy to know that the outlook for prom is more positive this year. Even though it may look a little different than previous years, with needing to wear a mask, both staff and students are happy to announce that prom is moving forward.
The Webster High School is looking at holding prom on April 24, outside, at Forts Folle Avoine. High School Principal Joshua Hetfeld said he has been in contact with the county to get their thoughts regarding safety, concerns and protocols, hence why the event will be held outside.
“The county especially thought that being outside was going to be an important part of being able to hold that as safe as we can.”
Another change to prom along with the fact that masks will need to be worn is that only Webster students will be allowed to attend.
