The second annual Anishinaabe Values Awareness Motorcycle Ride for Recovery is on July 6. The ride is to raise awareness of the Anishinaabe values in the community.
There will be three registration points and riders are encouraged to join at any of the registration points. The first registration point is The Mille Lacs Community Center at 43408 Oodena Drive in Onamia, Minn. across the street from the Grand Casino Mille Lacs with the ride starting around 10 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Croix Danbury Tribal Hall.
There will be a wellbriety feast in Danbury followed by a presentation.
“We will speak about the seven teachings - honesty, truth, humility, love, wisdom, courage, respect - at each registration point as there will be a wellbriety event at each registration point.”
