Jim Erickson has worked at the Webster School District as the superintendent for 17 years. After a difficult decision, Erickson has decided that at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, he will be stepping down and retiring.
Erickson had worked at a number of school districts, but his favorite was working at the Webster district. “The difference between those schools and the Webster School District is the people- not only the school personnel, but the community as a whole.”
The decision to finally retire was not an easy one for Erickson. He has loved what he does, and he loves the people he works with. He says that he will miss the work and his colleagues, but he also knows that the time was right for him to start a new chapter in his life. His last day will take place in June of this year, but until then, he will continue to enjoy his position as superintendent.
“I still get up every morning excited to come to school, and I feel very fortunate to have worked for and alongside so many compassionate and dedicated people.”
