GRANTSBURG—A 17 year-old Grantsburg youth was found dead in his home Thursday, January 28.

Law enforcement personnel from the Burnett County Sheriff's Department and the Grantsburg Police Department responded to Little Wood Lake Road about 5:30 after Joan Lauer had found her son, William L. Lauer, dead in his bedroom.

Medical examiner Mike Maloney reported the cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head and ruled the incident as a suicide.
