It was a tense scene near the stoplights in Grantsburg when a sheriff’s deputy pulled into village floral and had three subjects on the ground at gunpoint.

The Sentinel received reports of the situation on the morning of July 26. Once on the scene, there were three suspects on the ground as other officers from the sheriff’ office arrived on the scene.

Ryan Matchinsky, 22, was taken into custody by authorities and transported to Burnett County Jail.

The pre-booking form says Matchinsky was charged with felony take/operate vehicle without consent of the owner and misdemeanor possession of THC paraphernalia.

Matchinsky is set to be in court August 14 in front of Judge Melissia Mogen.
