A former town of Grantsburg clerk has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of theft of movable property after facing felony forgery charges.
Lynne Harmon, 37, Grantsburg, was in court last week to plead to the lesser charge of theft of misdemeanor property less than $2,500. In August, Harmon was arrested after two checks were questioned after they appeared to not have the proper signature on them.
According to online court records, Harmon was sentenced to 40 hours of community service, to be served through Restorative Justice. She was also ordered to pay the full restitution amount of $391, which she paid prior to court Monday Sept. 23.
Her sentence was withheld meaning if she breaks any condition of her probation she will be sentenced to one year of probation.
