WEBSTER––Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 21. The tent is set to be raised at 10 a.m. on the Webster practice football field for the Culpepper & Merriweather circus that is coming to town.

Bill Summer of the Webster Chamber of Commerce got permission from the village board to go forward with the planning of the day. The only requests the circus has given him is they need 1,500 gallons of water for the various animals with the circus and a large dumpster

“It will be a one-day deal,” Summer told the board. “They bring in their own power and everything else. When they’re gone it will look like they were never here.”

He added tickets will be on sale about a month and a half before the show.

“Should be a great show and it will be a great fundraiser for the community,” Summers concluded.

Culpepper & Merriweather started in 1985 and is based in Hugo, Okla. Their show includes an all-star group of performers from all over North America and features animals, acrobats, comedy and balancing acts.
